McDivot’s Indoor Sports Pub came about after two previous college buddies reconnected after figuring out, they lived up the street from one another. Kyle had this idea, put a rough plan together and reached out to Hutch to get his opinion, knowing he was involved with several other successful establishments in the Des Moines area. After scheduling a “walk and talk” on Hutch’s morning stroll almost a year ago, the idea took off and the rest is history!

Kyle has been a bartender at some of the most popular establishments in Iowa and Minnesota for the last 20 years. He has always dreamed of owning his own place and set out to do just that after seeing all the growth in the Grimes, Granger, Johnston and Polk City areas. Kyle has also worked in the golf industry for over a dozen years. One time being a club professional at private golf clubs, to most recently helping in local golf shops and at other indoor golf facilities. Kyle can often be found out on the course competing in tournaments when he is not working. Feel free to ask him for some pointers!

Hutch has been in the service and hospitality industry himself for more than 20 years. He has successfully managed and operated multiple hotels, bars and even some liquor stores.
